Kala Namak (Black Himalayan Salt): A form of rock salt known as Kala namak. It's a salty, pungent-smelling condiment popular in South Asia. It's also known as "Himalayan black salt," and it's usually found in Nepal's Himalayas. Its pungent odour is due to its high sulphur/sulphite mineral concentration, which is especially beneficial if your diet excludes animal products. This is because Kala Namak is an excellent egg replacement.

HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS: You can regulate its effect on your food by reducing its flavour while cooking, but it goes without saying that it will lend the distinct taste of "hard-boiled egg" to some degree or another. The salt has a chalky dark pink colour, comparable to Himalayan rose pink salt. However, the vivid pink colour of Himalayan salts is due to their high and peculiar mineral concentration, and Kala namak is no exception.
