And now the 16-year-old student Yugi Muto arrives through a gift from his grandfather to this ancient Egyptian puzzle that no one could solve yet. When he tries on it, he awakens the spirit of that ancient pharaoh who has lost his memory. From now on, Yugi shares his body with him and with the help of the card game Duel Monsters, Yugi and Yami (so the name of the pharaoh) try to restore the lost memory of the pharaoh. It immediately turns out that the so-called millennium puzzle has a destructive power and together with other artifacts is able to destroy the world. And when the soul of Yugi's grandfather is captured by a certain Maximillian Pegasus, the inventor of the fabled game of shadows, the true seriousness of the situation is revealed. Now it is up to Yugi to free his grandfather and also protect the world from the fatal game. It is also clear that many evil forces are behind the millennium puzzle and its power. But together with his friends Joey Wheeler, Téa Gardner and Tristan Taylor, he faces them.
