The bracket needs 10 inches of clearance below the window The bracket requires a minimum wall thickness of 4 inches and maximum wall thickness of 11 inches. The dimension is taken from the inside lower window frame to the exterior sill or exterior surface (siding and masonry; etc. ) if no sill exists.
