The detection area of the smoke alarm is up to 40 m² and is limited to the room in which it is installed. At least one detector must be fitted in the bedroom, children's room and hallway. In the living room, ceiling mounting is recommended. Unwanted false alarms can be silenced simply and easily by pressing the large test button. In the normal state, a red control LED flashes every 40 seconds, signalling that the detector is ready for use.
