When Helene Fischer, the most successful German singer of our time, and the renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra meet at Abbey Road Studios in London to record an album with the 35 most popular Christmas songs in the world, you can undoubtedly assume that something wonderful is being created. With this very special song collection, which will be released just in time for Christmas, Helene Fischer is giving herself and her audience a very special gift. With bright eyes, listeners will follow the popular entertainer on her truly enchanting walk through her very personal winter wonderland. In close collaboration with star producer Alex Christensen (Paul Anka, Tom Jones), a top-class festive Christmas sound has been created. “I found it extremely exciting to work with Alex,” says Helene. “A producer who has already done major and Grammy-nominated orchestral productions with Paul Anka or Michael Bolton before. “ With great attention to detail, Helene Fischer and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra span the stylistic range from cheerful, swinging new interpretations of popular international Christmas songs to several wonderful duets and opulently arranged classics such as “Silent Night”, “Ave Maria & ldquo; and the “Adeste Fideles” presented in German and Latin. Helene Fischer shows a completely new facet with great big band versions of American Christmas songs such as “Let It Snow” or “Winter Wonderland.” Fantastic duet partners such as legends Frank Sinatra (“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”) or Bing Crosby (“White Christmas”), but also Ricky Martin (“Last Christmas”), Plácido Domingo (“What Child Is This”) or Xavier Naidoo (“From Heaven Up, That's Where I Come From” ;) We owe absolute highlights and goosebumps. “It was always a dream for me to work with Xavier,” says Helene. “For me, he is the singer with the most beautiful voice in Germany. And although they died long ago, of course, it is incredibly lucky to sing with legends such as Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. “The unique song collection comprises a total of 18 German and 17 English songs. For the recordings for the Christmas album, producer Alex Christensen has put together a high-ranking ensemble of the world's most renowned musicians: starting with star conductor Paul Bateman (Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sarah Brightman) and Richard Balcombe (Sir Cliff Richard, “Phantom Of The Opera”, “Cats”) to well-known arrangers such as Cliff Masterson (Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue, Oasis), Chris Walden (Barbra Streisand, Neil Young, Michael Bublé) or Steve Sidwell (Ex-Wham! -Band member and arranger/composer).
