Description

Beurer PO40 Pulse Oximeter with perfusion index measuring - personal health monitoring any time, any where. The Beurer PO40 pulse oximeter is designed for practical self-monitoring of your arterial oxygen saturation, heart rate (pulse) and pulse modulation index (PMI) whether at home or on the move. The measurement is non-invasive and painless, as two light beams of different wavelengths strike the inserted finger inside the housing. Oxygen saturation indicates the percentage of haemoglobin in arterial blood that is loaded with oxygen. It is therefore an important parameter for assessing the respiratory function. A pulse oximeter is useful for patients at risk such as people with heart disease or asthma, but also for athletes and healthy people who exercise at high altitude (e.g. mountaineers, skiers or amateur pilots). Key features of the PO40 at a glance: - Measures heart rate, oxygen saturation and perfusion index - Colour display - 4 available views - Graphic pulse display - Small and light-weight - Automatic switch-off - Battery powered: 2x AAA (included) - Low battery indicator - Includes caryy pouch and belt strap - Certified medical device -For the measurement, it is important that the finger meets certain minimum dimensions (1 cm wide, 0.5 cm high) and is clean, and it must also be inserted into the device as far as it will go. In addition, it must be ensured that the measurement should not be carried out with strong movements - this can falsify the results or cause the finger to slip and thus interrupt the measurement.
