Product Description
To remove the disc once you have finished backflushing either tap it out or insert a basket removal tool / blunt knife between the edge of the rubber disc and the metal basket. Portafilter / basket for illustration purposes. Only the rubber backflush disc will be supplied FDA 177.2600 = USA Food & Drug Administration - Rubber Articles intended for repeated use. EC 1935/2004 = EU Food Contact Regulation.

4mm thick, twice that of others - this means it remains rigid and creates a better seal
All other rubber backflush discs we have seen so far are made from cheaper EPDM rubber which is NOT certified to be used in direct contact with food.
