Product Description HAILEA - Nutrient cooler HC-150A Keeps your solution (and your fish) cool. It is always important to pay attention to the temperature of your nutrient solution. If the nutrient solution of your hydroponics gets too warm, algae can accumulate and the solution can no longer absorb oxygen. This leads to lower yields - or, even worse - to the destruction of your crop due to root diseases, such as pythium. With the Hailea nutrient cooler, cooling nutrient solutions for hydroponics in a hot grow room is easier than ever before! Although these units are often designed to cool nutrient solutions, they are often used in aquaponics, fish tanks and aquariums to cool the fish in warmer seasons or to create the right environment for tropical fish. The Hailea continuous coolers HC-150A, HC-300A and HC-500A pump the nutrient solution through a cooling unit and keep the water temperature at a constant level - ideal for NFT systems in summer. HAILEA HC coolers are user-friendly and feature a robust metal housing with a modern design. These products require a pump, such as the Hailea HX-8810 (for the cooler HC-150A) or the Hailea HX-8830 (for the HC-300A and HC-500A coolers). How do the Hailea coolers work? A performance check of the cooling is required if the ambient temperature is 30 °C, the water temperature before cooling is 28 °C and the water volume to be cooled is 150 litres. When the water volume to be cooled is increased, the water temperature falls into a lower temperature range. If the water volume to be cooled is reduced, the water temperature drops to a water temperature above 4 °C within a short time.
