APS have created this oak effect, melamine, handled board to offer the visual appeal of real wood, whilst maintaining all the benefits of melamine. Melamine is virtually unbreakable under normal circumstances, meaning that it has a much greater chip resistance than porcelain. Melamine also doesn't need the same care and attention as real wood; this board can be washed in the dishwasher and doesn't need regular oiling.
