Product Description The L'Expressio vines were allowed to be a bit more vigorous in order to allow the fruit to ripen slowly and retain freshness. A rigorous selection of fruit took place in the vineyard, followed by a long cool maceration to extract the fine tannins. 30 percent of the wine was aged for a short period in oak, in order to round the texture rather than add oak flavours, the rest remaining in stainless steel for a few months before bottling. A true expression of the Priorat region, powerful and seductive with blueberry fruit on the nose and the classic flinty mineral character of the wines from this region. Juicy and fruit driven with tender fruit tannins, plenty of acidity, smooth and luscious on the palate with grippy texture, hints of herbs and spices and a long fleshy berry and black cherry finish.
