Description
The rectifier/regulator changes the AC voltage generated in the alternator to the DC voltage used in the on-board network of 12V and keeps the voltage within a certain tolerance range. This will charge the battery and ensure that incandescent lamps, for example, do not burn out. Since this component is subjected to very high temperature loads, it often breaks down. If the rectifier/controller is defective, the battery is constantly empty, with certain ignition systems the ignition system no longer works, incandescent lamps burn continuously or the driving light flickers.
