The R DE VideoMic is a professional 1/2" condenser microphone for use with consumer video cameras and personal audio recorders. The integrated Rycote Shock Mounting System isolates the VideoMic capsule and electronics from the all-metal shoe mount and provides isolation from external physical factors that can cause unwanted rumbling and vibration in the microphone. The standard size shoe mount also includes a 3/8" thread in the base for easy mounting to the included boom rod and adapter. The On Stage MBP7000 boom rod is constructed from a sturdy and lightweight aluminum, allowing you to securely mount your microphone and follow your sound source with ease. It features three telescopic poles that use a twist-and-lock system to create quick, easy and efficient adjustments that extend the length from 90 to 250 cm. This package also includes a 25 ft. extension cable to connect the Videomic to your camera when mounted on a fully extended boom pole. Its super cardioid polar pattern is highly directional, focuses on the subject in front of the camera and minimizes ambient noise. In addition to the native 40Hz-20kHz response of the microphone, a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which prevents low end noise such as air conditioning and traffic from being recorded. A -10 dB and -20 dB attenuation (or PAD), selectable from the inside of the battery compartment, allows you to record loud sound sources, such as live music or motorsports. The new R DE VideoMic features an integrated shock mount based on Rycote Lyre technology. Made from a single piece of durable thermoplastic, the Lyre provides excellent acoustic suspension over traditional elastic solutions and will never wear out, sag or crack.
