Buyers Products (PH50 50-Ton Capacity Air Compensated Pintle Hook

The 50-Ton Air Compensated Pintle Hook from Buyers Products cushions movement between the pintle hook and tow ring. This saves wear and tear on the parts, as well as improves stability, especially in sudden motion or braking situations. The 6 hole mount, bolt-on hook works in tandem with the vehicle's air system to hold the drawbar eye closely to reduce wear, absorb shock, and prevent uncoupling during operation. The hook is ideal for heavy-duty applications such as semi trailers, both off- and over-the-road. The drawbar eye dimension for this hook is 2-3/8" to 3" I.D. w/ 1-1/4" to 1-5/8" diameter cross section. For off-road use, the load should be reduced by 25% and a swivel type trailer drawbar should be used. The air chamber and plunger (PH50ACMK) is not included, but can be used without as a standard pintle hook.
