The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the 'sweet spot' or center of the larger lens image circle. This Fotodiox lens mount adapter is made with high standard precision. The leaf spring design in the adaptor holds the lens tight to the camera body ensuring there is no play between the camera and the lens. The all metal design and polished surface is designed to guarantee smooth mounting and long lasting experiences. This adapter also has a built-in aperture control tab which allows for control over the lens iris. This adapter allows Kodak Retina Rangefinder and Retina Reflex Lenses to fit on a Fujifilm X-Series (X-Mount) Mirrorless Digital camera body. Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode. Infinity focusing is guaranteed. Note: The aperture markings on the adapter are based on a 50mm f/1.9 lens; when used with any other lens the aperture markings will be off (will not represent the true aperture used), however you will still have full range over the lens iris.
