For pools with decks, install on top of the deck using vinyl water weights, placing them on top of the cover. For pool with partial decks, use water weights on the deck and use the winch and cable around the perimeter running the cable under the deck if possible.

Cover should be able to float loosely on the water, consider going up a pool size if you have large top rails.
