Description

In the Box: What You Get Inside the Chaos Space Marine Lord Discordant on Helstalker box, you will find a multi-part plastic kit that includes: 123 individual plastic components: These are supplied on several plastic frames, often called 'sprues'. Multiple customisation options: The kit provides parts to build your Lord Discordant with a choice of two different heads (one helmeted, one bare) and two different weapon loadouts for the Helstalker mount (either an autocannon or a baleflamer). One 120mm x 92mm Citadel Oval Base: This is the large base upon which the finished model will stand. It is important to note that the miniature in this kit is supplied unpainted and requires assembly. From Sprue to Battlefield: What You Need to Do Getting your Lord Discordant ready for play is a rewarding, multi-stage process that is central to the Warhammer 40,000 hobby. Assembly: First, you must carefully remove each component from its plastic frame using a pair of hobby clippers. You will then clean up any small imperfections from the removal point or mould lines using a hobby knife or file. Following the detailed instruction booklet included in the box, you will glue the pieces together using plastic cement. During this stage, you will make your decisions on which head and weapon options you wish to use. Priming: Once fully assembled, the model needs to be primed. This involves applying a special undercoat paint, typically from a spray can (like Citadel Colour sprays) or applied with a brush. A primer, usually in black, grey, or white, ensures that the subsequent layers of paint will adhere smoothly and durably to the plastic surface. Painting: This is the creative stage where you bring your model to life. Using acrylic model paints (such as the Citadel Colour range) and various brushes, you apply your chosen colour scheme. You might follow the classic Black Legion colours shown on the box art, choose the scheme of another Chaos Legion like the Word Bearers or Iron Warriors, or invent a completely unique look for your warband. Basing: To complete the model, you will decorate its base. This can be done simply by painting it, or more elaborately by applying textured paints, sand, grit, static grass, or resin skulls to create a miniature scene that grounds the model in the war-torn 41st Millennium. Once these steps are complete, your Lord Discordant is fully built, painted, and ready to lead your Daemon Engines to victory on the tabletop! To play with it, you will need the core rules for Warhammer 40,000 and the rules for the model itself, found in Codex: Chaos Space Marines.
