Description

itouch Sure Pelvic Floor Exerciser for Men Product Description Male incontinence is a common condition in the UK but it's highly unlikely that you've ever met a man who confessed to having it. Regrettably, many people suffer in silence and restrict their daily activities. Yet incontinence is often easily managed and treated, indeed, experts have shown that nearly 80% of people with poor bladder control can be cured or improve. Incontinence is often due to a weakness in the muscles of the pelvic floor, after years of heavy lifting, exercise, coughing, sneezing or perhaps following prostate surgery, troublesome conditions can occur such as accidental leakages of urine, difficulty controlling wind or leakage from the bowels. The itouch Sure Pelvic Floor Exerciser for Men locates and tones your pelvic floor muscle effectively, allowing you to rebuild and strengthen the muscles that support the bladder and bowel. Pelvic floor exercises have been shown to be particularly effective following surgery on the prostate to aid recovery and can also benefit men with conditions such as erectile dysfunction. Using the itouch Sure the (EMS) Electrical Muscle Stimulation causes the pelvic floor muscles to contract and relax repeatedly throughout the 20 minute programme, exercising, strengthening and toning the muscles. Designed with ease-of-use in mind the device features 4 clinically proven programmes specific to the type of problem you experience. The kit comes with full instructions as well as a helpline for further information. The itouch Sure for Men should be used for 20 minutes each day or every other day for a two-month period. After this time, considerable improvement should be apparent. How do Pelvic Floor Exercisers work? The itouch PFE is a discreet unit with an intra anal probe. The unit uses comfortable muscle stimulation to exercise your pelvic floor muscle to aid recovery from urinary and faecal incontinence. For the more common Urge incontinence, the itouch Sure Pelvic Floor Exerciser for Men is also supplied with 4 self-adhesive electrode pads, 2 are to be placed either side of the spine on the lower back. It uses gentle electrical stimulation to sooth irritable bladder muscles. How can Pelvic Floor Exercisers help treat Urinary Incontinence? The benefits of pelvic floor exercises for women, particularly after childbirth, are well established. However, these simple exercises are also very valuable for men following prostatectomy or other prostate surgery where removing the prostate has damaged the area between the bladder and urethra. As a result, almost all patients experience some urinary incontinence whether it is Stress, Mixed or Urge incontinence. A study following men through the first year after prostatectomy found pelvic floor exercises are effective in terms of reducing incontinence. The itouch Sure Pelvic Floor Exerciser for Men locates and tones your pelvic floor muscle effectively, allowing you to rebuild the muscle strength and reduce any accidental leakages. How can Pelvic Floor Exercisers help treat Faecal Incontinence? Faecal incontinence can be the result of weakened or poorly functioning anal sphincter muscles or damage to the nerves controlling them. Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) can be used to re-educate the anal sphincter to contract. The treatments aim to progress towards graduated active exercises, in order to improve pelvic floor muscles strength and endurance and to regain function. Why use a Pelvic Floor Exerciser? ; Can help to reduce leakage ; Drug-free with no side effects ; Safe and easy-to-use ; Discreet ; May help to avoid surgery ; May improve sexual intimacy ; Can help to avoid rectal prolapse ; Help ease chronic pelvic pain ; Help your prostate to function Directions Use the device for 20 minutes each day or every other day for a two-month period. To use, select the appropriate programme for your type of incontinence (stress, urge, mixed, or tone). Adjust the intensity setting in increments of 0.5mA to find a comfortable level.
