The Remo Emperor Ebony drumheads stand for a dark, focused sound and a striking, deep-black look. Thanks to their 2-ply construction of a 7.5-mil Ebony film and a 7-mil clear underside, they offer high stability, strong projection and a controlled, punchy sound. Compared to classic Emperor heads, they deliver a slightly drier attack with reduced overtones, resulting in a clearly defined and precise sound. The warm basic character with emphasised mids ensures a balanced sound image that stands out particularly well in a band context. The black colour is integrated directly into the material and not coated, so there is no abrasion and the look remains permanently preserved.
