"Eldritch Horror" is a cooperative game about adventure and unspeakable horrors in which 1 to 8 players take on the role of investigators traveling around the world. They try to solve puzzles, collect clues and protect the world from a "Great Old" - an older being who only has total destruction in mind. Each "Big Old" brings unique myth and research card sets into the game, which inaugurate players deeper into the knowledge of these damning creatures. Twelve investigators, 250 tokens, and over 300 cards ensure that "Eldritch Horror" is an epic, world-spanning adventure with every game. Directions 1. Set up the game board and distribute the investigator cards among the players. 2. Choose a 'Great Old One' and set up the corresponding myth and research card sets. 3. Players take turns performing actions such as moving, investigating, fighting monsters, or gaining assets. 4. The goal is to close gates and defeat the 'Great Old One' before time runs out. 5.
