This will help secure the solar pool cover as well as help trap heat in the pool. Storing the Solar Pool Cover Store the solar pool cover in a shaded area away from direct sunlight. Leaving the solar pool cover in direct sunlight and away from the water can cause the air pockets to burst. Use of Chemicals Use care when adding chemicals to the pool so that the chemicals do not come into direct contact with the solar pool cover. Always follow the pool chemical directions. Unsuitable pool chemicals, such as copper sulfate, or using the wrong amount, will cause the solar pool cover material to become brittle and the air pockets may break. Safety Warning Warning: risk of drowning, sinking or asphyxiation. Please read the assembly, use and storage instructions carefully.
