The Remo Emperor Ebony drumheads stand for a dark, focused sound and a striking, deep-black look. Thanks to their 2-ply construction of a 7.5-mil Ebony film and a 7-mil clear underside, they offer high stability, strong projection and a controlled, punchy sound. Compared to classic Emperor heads, they deliver a slightly drier attack with reduced overtones, resulting in a clearly defined and precise sound. The warm basic character with emphasised mids ensures a balanced sound image that stands out particularly well in a band context. The black colour is integrated directly into the material and not coated, so there is no abrasion and the look remains permanently preserved. In addition to the sound, the series also impresses with its modern, high-quality appearance. The Emperor Ebony heads are ideal for toms and snare in a wide variety of setups – from small toms with fast response to large floor toms with a deep, powerful foundation.
