Description

After the foundation of record labels Ceslon and Music, Walter Guertler launched SAAR (Società Articoli Acustici Riprodotti) at the beginning of 1958, with its head office situated in Milan, creating at the same time a new label called Jolly. As artistic director Guertler chose the world famous jazz musician Ezio Leoni, who already knew how to arrange and direct an orchestra. Jolly Records started being a successful label with Celentano, who dominated every chart in 1959 with his song "Il tuo bacio è come un rock". In just a few year, Jolly Records put under contract many artists such as Tony Dallara, Enzo Jannacci, Luigi Tenco, Remo Germani, Nicola di Bari, Peppino Gagliardi, Fausto Leali, I Campioni, Franco Battiato and many others. To revive the great old Jolly years, in partnership with BTF distribution, for the first time SAAR presents a limited edition of a prestigious Adriano Celentano handbag, "The Jolly Years 1958-1963 The 45rpm Story", containing: - 4 postcards; - 32 x 45rpm's with original cover (plus the original Jolly 20228 cover without the 45rpm); - a 132-page book with photos, articles and discography of the period under review here.
