The clutch release bearing is used to disengage the clutch mechanism via the control. It is a key element of the mechanical clutch kit in association with the disc and the cover.
Bearings are increasingly equipped with plastic bodies filled with glass fibre to meet the mechanical constraints. In addition the bearing is lighter
The bearings come in a variety of shapes to accommodate the different types of clutch forks which are often very different from one manufacturer to another.
