The Starrett 3089Z-131-1424J gauge has a measuring range of 0.5 to 2 1/2 inches and uses a two-point contact system to detect geometry issues such as ovality and cone shape. It has an ergonomic design with non-slip insulating handle and carbide tipped contact points for extended wear and improved abrasion resistance. The dial display provides inch/metric reading capability. All anvils are laser marked for easy selection and a measurement chart is also included. The gauge measures approx. 6 inches and comes in a sturdy aluminum case with cutouts for the gauge and accessories. Bore gauge measure holes or holes in a workpiece.
