Penderyn Peated Edition is an award winning Single Malt Whiskey. It has a delicate spirit with a medium peaty character and a light golden tone, the whisky has a Kosher certificate and is bottled at 46% ABV. Peated introduces itself with sweet, aromatic smoke. Under this, there are signature notes of vanilla, green apple and refreshing citrus. An array of gentle flavours tempts even the most sophisticated palate, as light smoke balances with citrus fruitiness. Eventually, smoke and vanilla linger on the attractive medium-length finish. Distilling in Wales was a lost art, but in the late 1990s, in a Hirwaun pub in the Welsh valleys, a group of friends chatted about establishing the first whisky distillery in Wales in over a century.
