Grill pan made of enamelled cast iron from the Dietella series. Cast iron is actually one of the best materials for cooking. On medium to low heat, heat absorption and release is slow and evenly, there are no overheated areas and the food cooks evenly without burning or sticking. Ilsa has chosen to improve the quality and longevity of its cast iron products by using a food safe enamel coating that makes the utensil perfect for cooking on high and low heat. It is very shockproof and meets the strictest food hygiene regulations. All products in the Dietella range are: durable, hygienic and safe because the enamel covering the entire surface of the utensil is impermeable to acids such as lemon juice, vinegar, tomatoes and does not absorb moisture and odours; versatile because the cast iron is suitable for all types of cookers: gas, electricity, glass ceramic, induction (following simple precautions), oven. It allows cooking, grilling, roasting, stewing and gratinating in the oven. It significantly saves energy, because once the desired temperature is reached, little heat is enough to last for a long time. Instructions for use: for bloody steaks approx. one minute, one and a half minute on each side. For roasted meat approx. two minutes on each side. Times are indicative and depend on the thickness of the meat. For fish: heat the grill pan more strongly and make some cuts on both sides of the fish. Cooking time varies between about four and seven minutes per side depending on the thickness of the fish. For vegetables: approx. five minutes depending on the type and thickness. Use on glass ceramic hobs (any heat source): always lift the grill pan during use to move it, avoid shifting or abruptly putting it down as this could damage the hob. USE ON INDUCTION HOBS: It is recommended to heat the grill pan slowly and for at least 5 minutes at a power equal to one third of the maximum power. Then increase the power to a medium to high setting and start cooking. Avoid using the booster function.
