Product Description
The Optic Cube was created by Patrick Jouin for the Italian label Kartell. Kartell was launched by Giulio Castelli in 1949. Since then it has led the world in its innovative use of plastic in contemporary furniture and accessories for the home and office created in collaboration with a team of talented designers. Patrick Jouin was born in Nantes in 1967 and has studied and worked in industrial design. He opened his own studio in 1998 and has become known for his elegantly simple interiors, winning prizes for both his furniture and kitchen utensils. The multifaceted surfaces of the Optic Cube refract the light, helping to create an unusual and very special piece for the contemporary home or office. This sleek, effective modular storage unit is available either with a door or with an open side giving the cube extra versatility especially when a creative arrangement is used. The cubes can either stand side by side, be stacked or arranged in random groupings. The cube's tough construction of transparent or coloured PMMA (acrylic glass) makes it durable enough for outdoor use. The dimensions of the Optic Cube are 41 x 41 x 41 cm.
