Its grain is made of high quality synthetic aluminium oxide with resin as a binder, with a semi-open coating and a backing made of C paper. They are recommended for applications on varnishes, paints, putty and wood. These sanding discs are suitable for general use for freehand sanding as well as for use with hand-held power tools. All Klingspor products comply with the highest safety standards, including oSa regulations and the European safety standard EN 12413.
