Key Features
STTC-, SMTC-Solder Tip Cartridges are the standard soldering tip range for the Metcal MX-500, MX-5200 and MX-5200 series soldering systems.
All cartridges are available in three (3) temperature ranges: 600-series (STTC/SMTC-0xxx) nominally 330 ˚C, 700-series (STTC/SMTC-1xxx) nominally 390 ˚C, and 800-series (STTC/SMTC-8xxx) nominally 450 ˚C. Metcal recommends the 700-series for most applications, the 600-series for light load or low temperature applications, and the 800-series for high temperature and thermally demanding applications.
Metcal SmartHeat Technology adjusts the power levels during soldering to suit the application.
