Ronseal YVS25L Exterior Yacht Varnish Satin 2.5 Litre

Ronseal Yacht Varnish is a professional high quality solvent-based varnish that provides superior, long lasting protection for exterior wood. The weatherproofing formula protects the wood from damaging UV rays, it contains a flexible resin that allows the varnish to move with the wood as it expands and contracts, so helping to prevent cracking, peeling and blistering. This unique formula is also highly water repellent to keep your wood drier. Areas of use: Exterior: Approx. coverage: 16 m2 covered per litre. Approx. number of coats: 3. Application: Brush. Drying time Approx.: 6 hours. Protection level: High. Available in Satin or Gloss Finish with different size tins available. Directions Make sure it's a warm, dry day (above 10°C) and the wood is clean and dry. Thoroughly stir the varnish to make sure it’s smooth and there’s no lumpy bits. Test it on a small patch, it’s clear varnish but it may still darken the natural colour of the wood so make sure you’re happy with it. If you are, start painting with a brush. Go in the direction of the grain and for best results, apply two or three coats. Wait eight hours between each coat. Before you apply your last coat, lightly sand the surface and use white spirit to remove the excess dust. This will give you a nice smooth finish. Your last coat will be dry in four hours.
