The GEWA Premium Series offers mandolins and banjos for those who already have advanced experience on these instruments.The folk mandolin is primarily associated with American bluegrass and country music, but now also has a firm place in pop and rock.The premium range includes A and F style versions in a subtle vintage sunburst high gloss finish. All instruments are equipped with a solid spruce top, while the back and sides are made of solid flamed maple. Apart from the folk mandolin, hardly any sound is as associated with traditional American music as that of the banjo. The GEWA Premium series offers instruments for advanced players in 4-, 5- and 6-string versions.All models feature a 35 cm mahogany shell with two coordinator bars, a Purpleheart fingerboard, an original REMO® Wheatherking head and chrome-plated hardware.The 4- and 5-string models feature genuine banjo tuners with pearloid buttons, while the 6-string version has die-cast guitar tuners for better handling.To protect the high-quality Premium Series instruments from weather and damage on the way to rehearsal or a concert, all mandolins and banjos are delivered in a sturdy case.
