Product Description Mandolins have been gracing music since the 17th century and their popularity is a testament to their unique, crisp sound. With an A-Style body, this Ibanez mandolin has Chrome mandolin tuners with Magnetic single pickups to create that traditional sound. Manufacturer's Description The sound of a driving mandolin solo, ringing and crisp, brings to mind the Appalachians and the bittersweet melodies of generations past. The Ibanez M510EBS features a magnetic pickup and tone controls to make sure the bright, incomparable sound of the mandolin can be heard in any venue. With years of guitar manufactuing to the highest quality Ibanez have made a welcome return to making Mandolins after a 20 year break and they have brought all their experience to produce a quality instrument. The X braced hollow body with a solid Spruce top with Sapele back sides is finished in a Brown Sunburst and fitted with a single coil magnetic pickup which many find more reliable for live performance and recording than one fitted with a bridge saddle piezo pickup. You have tone and volume controls to hand to shape your sound. The instrument is fitted with Ibanez bronze strings fitted to the mahogany neck with Ovangkol saddle and bridge.
