Product Description The USB 2.0 Active Extension System Pro is a range of products which can be combined together to extend and distribute USB 2.0 signals over incredibly long distances. The advantage of the Extension System Pro is that it is able to support higher transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps - a distinct performance advantage over other available USB extension solutions which typically max out at USB 1.1 transfer rates of 11Mbps. - The Extension System Pro range consists of 8m and 12m extension cables and hubs. - Installation: If you wish to extend a USB 2.0 signal to more than 8m, the first cable in the chain must be the LINDY 42780, 8m Active Extension Cable Pro. Following this you can add up to four additional segments made up of 8m or 12m Active Extension Cables (LINDY 42780 or LINDY 42782). If you want to have multiple USB ports at the end of the extension, the final segment must be either an 8m or 12m Active Extension Pro 4 Port Hub (LINDY 42781 or LINDY 42783). If multiple USB ports are not required you can simple attached a USB cable to the end of the Active Extension Pro chain. However, this final USB cable should be no longer than 3m. - Note: If you want to connect a bus powered USB device requiring more than 100mA bus power, you can use the 8m or 12m Active Extension Pro 4 Port Hub (LINDY 42781 or LINDY 42783) as the final extension segment. - Note: Only the 8m Active Extension Cable Pro (LINDY 42780) or the 8m Active Extension Pro 4 Port Hub (LINDY 42781) can be directly connected to your computers USB 2.0 port. - Note: The 8m and 12m Active Extension Cables (LINDY 42780 or LINDY 42782) have locking connectors for a secure installation.
