Product Description This filter absorbs 4 stops of aperture, ensuring balanced exposure and better depth of field control. High transs titanium filters have very high transmission properties with multi-coatings and a titanium oxide component. These filters are mounted in a lightweight metal ring with a matte black anti-reflective inner ring and a titanium finnish outer ring to identify the titanium oxide component in the filter. The new coatings for this filter increase hardness and reduce smearability. Manufacturer's Description The ND 1.2 has a light transmission of 6.25% or a Filter Factor of 16x. Neutral Density filters evenly reduce the amount of light passing thru the lens without effecting color. Ideal for reducing bright light in large aperture situations when a narrow depth of field is needed. Allows for slower shutter speeds when blurring or showing of movement is desired. Allows balancing of exposure to highlight a key subject. Lets you use higher speed films in bright light. Neutral Density filters also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus.
