Neben den Variete-Theatern waren es insbesondere Wanderkinos auf Rummelplätzen, die zur raschen Etablierung des Kinematographen als populäres Medium beigetragen haben. Unter dem augenzwinkernd marktschreierischen Titel "Crazy Cinematographe" gräbt diese Doppel-DVD die verschüttete Jahrmarktkino-Tradition aus. Die DVD "Europäisches Kino der Attraktionen 1896-1916" präsentiert in einer abwechslungsreichen Abfolge Raritäten aus den Schatzkammern europäischer Filmarchive, von dänischem Anarchisten-Slapstick über schottische Röntgenfilme bis zu einer belgischen Raubtier-Verfolgungsjagd.
