The Salomon Granite Nortar and Atlas of Cilio is ideal for grinding dry spices and for making delicious pesto sauce with fresh basil, olive oil, grated parmesan cheese and pine nuts. The mortar has proven itself as a kitchen helper in making coarsely ground spices (e.g. pepper with the searing, juniper berries for a tasty sauce, cumin for the coleslaw, etc.) and seasonings together.
