Souverän is the classic from Pelikan. The production of the Souverän coat is subject to an elaborate process, because according to a specially developed formula for Pelikan a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent and then ground with a diamond on contour. The gold-plated rings on the filling handle and cap are fitted with the highest precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design. The Souverän M400 piston fountain pen has a 14-carat two-tone gold nib and is available in nib widths EF, F, M and B. The F-nib ensures a fine typeface and is particularly suitable for handwriting with smaller swings.
