Starrett 124DZ Solid-Rod Vernier Inside Micrometer Set, 2-32" Range, 0.001" Graduation, +/-0.0001" Accuracy, With Case

The Starrett 124DZ Fixed Rod Micrometer Kit includes two micron heads each graduated .001", ten interchangeable and adjustable dipsticks and four spacers that can be used in combination from 2 to 81 cm. These micrometers are designed for measuring the inner diameter of large cylinders, rings and parallel surfaces. The micrometer set comes with wrenches for required adjustments and a protective wooden case for storage. The micrometer's measuring rods are marked with their length range and have adjustable anvils that are hardened and ground. Bars are made of solid steel for lightness and rigidity, insulated to prevent heat spread when held in the hand and have a rust resistant satin chrome finish. The bars are adjustable to 8 inches in length (6mm) in diameter with a compatible 1/2 inch spacer collar, while the bars of 8 inches and larger are 8.5 mm in diameter with compatible 1 inch and 2 inch spacers. The bars are adjustable to 8 inches and can be attached with a motion of 1/2 inch for each full turn, while the rods of 8 inches and larger attach to the micrometer head with a movement of 1 inch for each full rotation. All poles are attached to the micrometer heads by a lockable shoulder that holds the bar securely in place. Both micron heads feature a knurled friction knob that supports even adjustment with even pressure, a quick reading of 0.001" and a rustproof, anti-glare matte chrome finish.
