The Starrett swivel head dial test indicator with attachments has a red, black or white dial and inch measurements. The surface can be adjusted at any point between vertical and horizontal (from 0 to 90 degrees). The choice of red, white or black dial can be used in a variety of lighting settings. The steel ball contact tip reaches into the workpiece for accurate measurements of turned, milled and ground parts as well as for tool adjustment gauge, jigs and inspections. The continuous rotation of the pointer clockwise with automatic reversal prevents plus or minus confusion. The ball bearing lever system with measuring insert can be swivelled up to 210 degrees. The dial features a rotating surface that can be swivelled from vertical to fully horizontal. It features two dovetail mounts for horizontal or vertical mounting from top or back. The display features a gear-driven jewel movement for accuracy. The contact points are smoothly adjustable and replaceable. This display meets or exceeds the requirements for accuracy and performance of national and international standards and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) of the United States. The kit includes a gauge gauge, dovetail body clamp, tool post holder, torsion bar with dovetail indicator, tight fitting bar and storage box. Selector values with three digits, e.g. B. 0-10-0, indicate that the display has a balanced dial. Dials with two digits, such as B. 0-100 indicates that the dial has a continuous dial. Balanced dials are used to read the difference from a given area reference point. Continuous dials are used for direct readings and typically have a larger measuring range than balanced dials.
