Suede Ambassador skinSuede Ambassador skins provide an excellent, authentic drum sound when used on percussion instruments. Although the materials are synthetic, the skin recreates the feel and the sound of a traditional natural skin. The instrumentThe Talking Drum has an hourglass-shaped body and is covered with two skins connected by tension cords. The drum is tucked under the arm and struck with a special curved stick. By tensing and releasing of the upper arm, the pitch can be changed by squeezing of the leather cords. Remo Talking Drums have been developed in conjunction with master drummer France Awe and are very similar to the Nigerian drums, but with more tonal volume and improved housing construction.
