It's very compact and lightweight - hardly any bigger and heavier than many standard zooms. This handy lens covers everything from 80mm for portraits, through the popular focal lengths of 105mm and 135mm, all the way up to 200mm telephoto, plus of course everything in between. On most EOS digital models it's equivalent to 128-320mm.
