The purpose of this book is to present a rather detailed account of the basic theory and methods of variational inequalities and complementarity problem. In the book, we also give a survey on some recent results. We hope that this book will provide a sound basis for those who wish to pursue these subjects in more detail. This book consists of eleven chapters. Chapter I is presented as an introduction and some preliminaries. In Chapters II - VIII, based on the Ky Fan's minimax principle and the KKM technique and with the help of topological method, variational method, partially ordered method and fixed point method, the existence and uniqueness of solutions and the features of set of solutions for some kinds of variational inequlities are studied. In Chapters IX-XI, the ( random) complementarity problems, random variational inequalities vector variational i nequalities and the variational inequalities for fuzzy mapping are presented. This book may be suitable for graduate students of department of mathematics, applied mathematics, finance mathematics, et al. as a textbook for seminars and may be utilized as a reference for the scientists who work in the fields of mathematics, mechanics, mathematical economics, control theory and theoretical physics.
