He has a PhD in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Beira Interior (2020). Furthermore, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer and is member of Ordem dos Engenheiros (the Portuguese Engineering Association). He worked as a Software Engineer in the Innovation and Development unit of Groupe PSA from 2016 to 2017 and at SOFTINSA, an IBM group company, from 2018 to 2019. His current research interests include Internet of Things, Ambient Assisted Living, Enhanced Living Environments, e-Health and healthcare systems.  Dr. Akash Kumar Bhoi [Ph.D., M.Tech, B.Tech] working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), SMU, India. He has specialized in the field of Biomedical Engineering.  His areas of research are biomedical signal processing, Medical Image Processing, Computational Approaches and Patter Recognition etc.. He is also a regular reviewer of journals of repute namely IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Inderscience etc. He has published several papers in national and international journals and conferences. Victor Hugo C. de Albuquerque [M’17, SM’19] is a professor and senior researcher at the University of Fortaleza, UNIFOR, Brazil, and Data Science Director at the Superintendency for Research and Public Safety Strategy of Ceará State (SUPESP/CE), Brazil. He has a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Paraíba, an MSc in Teleinformatics Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará, and he graduated in Mechatronics Engineering at the Federal Center of Technological Education of Ceará.
