Given its scope, the book is relevant for all those interested in functional linguistics, translation studies and detective stories.  About the Author Yan Wang received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2015 and is currently a Lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her research areas include systemic functional linguistics, translation studies, discourse analysis and legal translation. She has published articles in Foreign Language and Teaching, Chinese Science & Technology Translators Journal, Contemporary Rhetoric, Journal of World Languages and Linguistics and the Human Sciences. She is the Director and Membership Secretary of the Hong Kong Translation Society. She is also a freelance translator and has published three books.
