He is a leading expert in the field of criminal justice and evidence law in China. In recent years, he has been invited to give lectures on the issues of evidence rules and criminal justice to judges, prosecutors, lawyers and police officers in many parts of China, and also around the world in places such as Cincinnati University and New York University in USA, Max-Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Germany, Australian National University and La Trobe University in Australia, Nagoya University in Japan, and the University of Bergen in Norway.
