· The book is a self contained introduction of Cellular Automata (CA) and its applications on modeling of biological strings, proposing a 'New Kind of Computational Biology'. Book readership will cover students, academic researchers and industry practitioners of Computer Science and Computational Biology exploring new and innovative ways to address the challenges in Computational Biology. The methods and results reported are compilation of academic and industry challenges currently facing the world of Bioinformatics. Emphasis has been directed to the plethora of applications in the drug design and bio-molecule industry, the authors have been exposed to with their startup, CARLBio besides the academic and research flavour for this book.
