About the Author Dr. Rameshwar Adhikari is a Professor of Chemistry, currently serving as Executive Director of the Research Center for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST) at, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has been an Invited Professor at Rouen University (France), Mahatma Gandhi University (India) and Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan).He was General Secretary of the Nepal Chemical Society and German Engineers Society. He has been bestowed several awards including the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation’s Ambassador Scientist Award, Fellowship of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) and POLYCHAR World Forum International Materials Science Prize. He is the Founder President of the Nepal Polymer Institute and has convened several International Congresses, Symposia and Workshops. His research areas include biopolymers, nanostructured polymers, block copolymers, polymer microscopy, and bionics. He has authored over 120 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored 4 textbooks and edited 4 books. He was an editorial board member of the Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Wiley InterScience from 2011 to 2015, and is currently an expert reviewer for several international journals. Mr. Santosh Thapa received his MSc (Microbiology) from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal in 2005 and taught related courses for undergraduate and graduate students at various colleges in Kathmandu, including Tri-Chandra College, and the Central Department of Microbiology. He is a member of the American Society for Microbiology, European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM), and is associated with the International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS).
