A biography of Abdelsalam Pasha Elshazly: A politician that fought corruption

A politician that fought corruption A biography of Abdelsalam Pasha Elshazly This book is not just a biography: It is much more than a biography of the author's grandfather, a man that lived a great life; how he affected not only the lives of his family, but much more than that, he affected the lives of his community and his country. This is a look through his eyes and deeds on one hand practicing leadership when he served as governor and minister for several times, showing how one man can turn his administration into an effective inspiring model; and on the other hand as an MP and a senator in a young democracy - that kept growing at that time - how he helped fighting corruption. But this book is not only just that, it is also a look through the eyes of the author into the history of the corruption in Egypt since the dawn of history extending up to the critical period we are currently experiencing, hoping for the reader to conclude that democracy and transparency truly are the only paved road to a better life that meets the aspirations of the people, even when sometimes they seem to be inconvenient, and showing that history never sets different results for same actions; that - in itself - will develop wisdom and political awareness to the people, even more important than any other knowledge.
