Philosophy of the Orient and Modern Physics: Semiological perspectives on transmodernity (Anthropology, ethics and spirituality)

Where Ancient Wisdom Meets Quantum Reality: A Revolutionary Synthesis What if the mystical insights of Kashmir Shaivism, Vedanta, and Taoism weren't just spiritual metaphors, but profound descriptions of reality that modern physics is only now beginning to validate? In this groundbreaking work, Professor Antonio Sandu bridges two seemingly disparate worlds—the contemplative traditions of Oriental philosophy and the cutting-edge discoveries of quantum mechanics and relativity theory—revealing stunning parallels that challenge our understanding of consciousness, reality, and existence itself. Philosophy of the Orient and Modern Physics introduces readers to transmodernity—a new cultural paradigm that transcends the limitations of both modernism and postmodernism by integrating multiple levels of reality, embracing transdisciplinary thinking, and spiritualizing the borders between science, philosophy, and mysticism. • Kashmir Shaivism's phonematic emanation and the Big Bang cosmology - Spanda (cosmic vibration) and superstring theory - Māyā (illusion) and the holographic universe - Śūnyatā (emptiness) and the quantum void - Yin-Yang complementarity and wave-particle duality - Observer-dependent reality in both quantum mechanics and Vedantic consciousness studies What Makes This Book Unique: Quantum Metaphysics: Explore the author's original "M world" hypothesis—a revolutionary model proposing that all possible worlds exist in quantum superposition, synthesizing David Bohm's implicate order, Hugh Everett's many-worlds interpretation, and Kashmir Shaivism's non-dual consciousness. Consciousness as Fundamental: Move beyond materialist reductionism. Drawing on Abhinavagupta's sophisticated framework of prakāśa (luminosity) and vimarśa (reflective awareness), the author addresses the "hard problem of consciousness" by inverting the question: what if consciousness doesn't emerge from matter, but matter emerges from consciousness? Fractal-Constructionist Epistemology: Understand reality not as a fixed territory but as a negotiated map, where the whole is reflected in each part, and contradictions resolve at higher levels of integration. From Theory to Practice: This isn't merely abstract theorizing. The author demonstrates practical applications across diverse fields: philosophical counseling, A.I. consciousness, transmodern art, and the spiritualization of technology. Who Should Read This Book: • Physicists and philosophers seeking deeper understanding of quantum reality - Students of Eastern philosophy curious about scientific validation - Consciousness researchers exploring non-materialist paradigms - Anyone fascinated by the convergence of ancient wisdom and modern science - Readers seeking integrative, holistic approaches to contemporary questions Scholarly Yet Accessible: Grounded in 417 scholarly references and decades of research, yet written with clarity and vision, this volume represents the culmination of Professor Sandu's pioneering work in transdisciplinary synthesis. With expertise spanning ethics, consciousness studies, and social philosophy, and an H-index of 25, Sandu guides readers through complex terrain with authoritative knowledge and infectious enthusiasm. The future of thought lies not in choosing between science and spirituality, but in their transdisciplinary integration. This book shows you how.
