Le modèle postdramatique de Hans-Thies Lehmann suscite de nombreuses réactions, positives et négatives, parmi les spécialistes du théâtre. Pour la première fois, l'ouvrage propose une étude approfondie de la question postdramatique. S'appuyant sur une quarantaine d'exemples de théâtre contemporain, l'auteure examine la théorie postdramatique et fournit une analyse critique des codes propres à ces pratiques artistiques. Les formes postdramatiques, situées au croisement du théâtre, de la danse, de la performance, des nouvelles technologies et des arts plastiques et visuels, invitent le spectateur à des processus de réception spécifiques. Cet ouvrage propose d'interroger la relation que tisse le spectateur avec le spectacle au moyen de modèles de réception fondés sur des approches esthétiques, sémiologiques et sociologiques. Le spectateur y est abordé sous un angle individuel (personne singulière) et collectif (membre d'une communauté). Les points de vue théoriques, ponctués de nombreux schémas et photographies, sont illustrés par l'analyse de productions significatives, entre autres de Roméo Castellucci, Jan Fabre, Heiner Goebbels, Tadeusz Kantor, Jan Lauwers, Wim Vandekeybus et Kris Verdonck. About the Author Catherine Bouko est maître de conférences au sein de la filière Spectacle vivant de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles. Ses recherches portent particulièrement sur les formes spectaculaires interartistiques et intermédiales.
